My vote goes to loc-on for bow season, don't like to be covered in sweat when I get into my stand, and climbers for gun hunting.

I also couldn't take the cable support contact with the aluminum noise so I rubber coated the cables. I have Lone Wolf stands too and like those but if you setup in the dark and need to be quiet, I grab the wedge loc. WebSep 13, 2002 · I actually have both the Lone Wolf and the Chippewa Wedge Loc stand..... the wedge loc is a good stand but too heavy for my liking for longer hikes..... it is hard to beat the compact way that the LW climbing sticks are designed to stack on the stand..... if I don't use the Chippewa more this year than last year I will probably try to sell it.....
